Yoga & Surf

Enjoy 7 nights and 8 days of yoga and fun at Pousada Casa do Ceo, Praia do Rosa : a small village beach resort in the South of Brazil, (Santa Catarina region) a magical place with diverse landscapes and great natural beauty. It is a great spot for sunning and surfing.

Casa do Ceo, 'House in the Clouds' is close to the beach and within easy reach to the center for all the best restaurants & boutiques, yet offers complete tranquility.


During your stay there will be morning boot camp training, yoga and meditation as well as your choice of surfing, Capoeira or Brazilian/African dance each day. Our classes are appropriate for all levels of experience. Both advanced and beginner students will feel at home in these the finely structured classes.

You will leave feeling Peaceful in the mind and strong in your body!

 

What's Included

~The cost of the meals (breakfast & dinner), lodging, yoga and second class of your choice,

~A $300.00 non-refundable deposit is due no later than February 1, 2009.




Massage, personal training, private breath therapy and customized healing programs are also available at additional costs. Payment in the form of cash and checks are accepted as well as credit card payments via pay pal for an additional fee.

We suggest that you spend at least one night in Florianopolis, a wonderful Brazilian city. We can help make all your reservations to insure a perfect stay!

 

Flight Information
TO THE RETREAT:

Please plan to arrive in Sao Paulo or Rio de Janeiro in the morning of the 14th; ideally by 10am if flying to Sao Paulo (Guarulhos) and by 9am if flying to Rio (Galećo) to make the first meeting at Casa do Ceo. There are later connecting flights available if necessary

Try to book your main US flight to/from Sao Paulo, Guarulhos Airport, or Rio de Janeiro, Galećo Airport (most international flights operate with these two airports only anyway); there are more connecting flights available to Florianopolis from these and it saves changing airports (the two in Sao Paulo, and the two in Rio, being quite far away from each other).

Students' itinerary last year looked like this (approx $700-$1000 total, depending on flight availability and exact US location):

Fly direct to Sao Paulo or Rio de Janeiro, Brazil then take an internal connecting flight with TAM or GOL to Florianopolis (approx. 1.15hr), then take taxi transfer to Praia do Rosa (approx. 1hr)

Praia do Rosa to Florianopolis:
A taxi transfer will take you back to the Florianopolis airport on March 21st
Plan to leave Praia do Rosa at least 3 hours before your scheduled Florianopolis flight time
Last flight from Florianopolis to Sao Paulo (Guarahos) is at 22:00, first flight is at 06:20
Last flight from Florianopolis to Rio (Galećo) is at 17:30, first flight is at 06:15

 

Some VISA information for US citizens

Each person must mail in or take their passport to their local
Brazilian Embassy and fill out a form for a Visa. (Mail-in processing costs an addition $10.00 fee) The process takes one week, there is a charge of $130.00 and the Visa must be received NO MORE than 90 days before the first day of travel. Usually the Visa is then good for 5 years.

Please leave plenty of time to complete this process. Request a 'tourist visa' only. Note that different consulates may have different forms and processing requirements. Also, be sure to check for any additional requirements or forms due to multiple citizenship.

In order to apply for a visa, you will need to bring:
1. Your passport
2. A money-order from the United States Postal Service of USD130.00 made out to the Brazilian Consulate
3. A copy of your itinerary or a copy of your round-trip plane ticket (e-tickets work as well)

After you have complete this process you will need to return one week later to pick up your Visa
