Why do a Yoga Retreat?
( Why not?! )
Life is stressful and we all need to get away and recharge— not just our batteries, but our souls. Yoga Retreats help you de-stress, relax, and find inspiration. Reflections takes you to some of the most beautiful spots in the world — places where you can clear your mind and heal your body in mother nature’s loving embrace.
Some of our favorite yoga retreat destinations are in Latin America. The destinations we choose are settled in the tranquility of nature and accommodations are always beautiful.
All yoga retreats include morning meditations, two yoga and meditation classes on most days, guided hikes, and lots of free time to explore, connect with nature, feast on sumptuous organic foods, make new friends, and relax deeply.

What To Expect
Who are the retreats for?
Reflections yoga retreats and yoga holidays are ideal for everyone! They are great for couples, friends, and many come on their own. You don’t have to be a “yogi”. In fact, there are always individuals who come and enjoy all the trimmings and skip the yoga. Our classes are taught in a way that accommodates students of all levels. They are taught by senior teachers who can work with beginners, a well-versed yogi, as well as those healing from injuries.
We are a passionate group of well-trained professionals who love to travel and share the world of yoga with everyone!
What’s the difference between a retreat and a holiday?
A yoga retreat is about slowing down, detoxing and making a change. You will have less to do and there will be an emphasis on diet and meditation. There will typically be themed workshops skillfully designed to help you make a change in your life.
Then what’s a yoga vacation? Yoga with a whole lot of fun! You will have the serenity of yoga but you will also pick and choose from many daily activities. We don’t worry about your diet (too much) and dinner can certainly be served with a nice glass of wine.
“I feel blessed to have had the opportunity to spend a week at the amazing Anamaya. It was my first time traveling on my own and I was not really sure what to expect. I can’t stop talking about my positive experience. I have been practicing yoga on and off for a few years. In my yoga journey, I have not come across a more knowledgeable and caring yoga instructor than Paula. She truly is a passionate and talented yoga instructor. I found her explanation and gentle corrections to resonate with me, allowing me to get deeper into my yoga practice. Leaving me peaceful and calm.”

“Paula was absolutely amazing. I loved her so much I am considering other retreats purely based on her being the instructor. Thank you for a wonderful week and a commitment to personable excellence.”
