Thai Massage is an ancient art form of long-held stretches, energy/meridian stimulation, structural alignment, deep-tissue release and therapeutic massage that brings openness and calm to the body.
Coined “lazy man’s yoga”–joints, muscles, and energy is moved through dance-like-sequences that integrate full body synergy and/ or concentrate on specific injuries or restrictions.
An old, traditional, Japanese healing method. In shiatsu “finger pressure” and stretching is the key. The shiatsu practitioner uses palms, fingers, thumbs, knuckles, elbows, knees and the feet, to work on the body’s acupressure points, along what they consider the body’s meridians or energy channels. Its a form of “touch communication,” and is a safe and effective preventive medicine. It helps to balance a persons energy flow, and strengthen the vital organs.
Hellerwork Structural Integration
A process by which the whole person, body, mind, and spirit, is brought into more optimal alignment. Through the deep-tissue myofascial bodywork component of Hellerwork, the clients' bodies become aligned with the forces of gravity. They experience ease in their movements, increased flexibility, a return of lost range of motion, improved balance, comfort in joints and a greater sense of stability and support. During the Hellerwork series of sessions, themes relating to each session are discussed, offering an opportunity for our clients to reassess who they are and how they are in their lives.
The ancient art of applying pressure to the soles of the feet to improve health and wellness. Reflex points in these areas correspond to each organ and system of the body promoting homeostasis. Muscular tension and stress are reduced, circulation improves, and energy pathways are unblocked, promoting overall health and relaxation.
Zero Balancing is an innovative body-mind system of hands-on therapy developed in the 1970s by Fritz Smith, MD, a pioneer in the field of integrative medicine. The practitioner uses comfortable finger pressure and gentle traction to engage body structure and body energy. Following a protocol that typically lasts 30 – 45 minutes, the practitioner creates fulcrums, or points of balance, around which the body can relax and reorganize.
Zero Balancing focuses on the foundation joints – those joints whose function has more to do with gravity and the transmission of force, than with locomotion. When foundation joints are compromised, other tissues will compensate. This compensation results in many hidden imbalances that impact a person on both conscious and unconscious levels. Zero Balancing helps resolve imbalances in the foundation joints and release the compensatory patterns.
A Zero Balancing practitioner consciously and actively engages BOTH body energy and body structure simultaneously – bringing them into balance within themselves and with one another. The result is greater than the sum of the parts, enabling the person on the table to feel engaged on the levels of body, mind and spirit. Often, with Zero Balancing, both energy and physical function improve dramatically.
Spiritual Counseling for Individuals and Couples
Sessions are grounded in the principles of Yogic philosophy as a common lens to the understanding of each individual's unique qualities. Using the basic yogic principles of love and compassion, we will determine an appropriate path for the growth of the couple or the individual. This will result in a deepening sense of self-awareness and acceptance. Each session begins with a dialogue to determine and establish a shared understanding of the individual's (or couples) wants, needs and obstacles, pinpointing the most relevant life issues in order to begin to address them on the physical, energetic, emotional and spiritual level. Techniques that may be used include movement, breathing techniques and meditation.
A Japanese technique for stress reduction and relaxation that also promotes healing.
Vortex Healing Energetic Therapy
Vortex Healing is an ancient and multifaceted energetic healing art that facilitates release of emotional and mental blockages stemming from the deepest levels of ancestral, genetic and karmic imprinting. It channels Divine frequencies and light to clear and heal the physical, emotional, mental and spiritual bodies, the main chakras and other energy centers whilst rejuvenating the flow of life force energy to the spine, kundalini and meridians. Working with this ancient healing art is a personal journey into the heart, it will allow you to regain your natural spiritual balance and keen awareness of your true Self, your environment, your relationships and more. The session will be private and in perfection for your own individual development.
BodyTalk is an astonishingly simple and effective holistic therapy that allows the body's energy systems to be re-synchronized so they can operate as nature intended. Each system, cell, and atom is in constant communication with each other at all times. Through exposure to the stresses of day-to-day life, however, these lines of communication can become compromised or disconnected, which then leads to a decline in physical, emotional and/or mental well-being. Reconnecting these lines of communication enables the body's internal mechanisms to function at optimal levels, thus repairing and preventing disease while rapidly accelerating the healing process. In this way, BodyTalk stimulates the body's innate ability to balance and heal itself on all levels.
Acupuncture is one of the primary modalities of Traditional Chinese Medicine. Traditional Chinese Medicine posits that we are comprised of all the elements of nature (fire, earth, metal, water, and wood), and that the qualities of these very elements inform the functioning whole of our bodies via channels or meridians of energy. Along these meridians there are particular points that act as gateways, where energy can flow freely, become congested, or seem to vaporize, flowing too weakly. Acupuncture serves to balance and energize these channels, allowing you to reconnect with optimal health.
In an acupuncture session, the acupuncturist evaluates the meridian flow through a variety of lenses – an in-depth health history, pulse readings, tongue diagnosis, and palpatory findings, primarily of the viscera and the musculoskeletal system – giving an accurate portrait of the client’s unique constellation of the elements. Using sterile, disposable acupuncture needles the energy flow is stimulated, reorganized and nourished. Among a host of other benefits, acupuncture will balance seratonin levels in the brain, adjust the fascia and release endorphins into the bloodstream – all as the elements return to balance.
Proven effective by over 4,000 years of practice, acupuncture is possibly the world’s most commonly utilized form of preventative health care today, with over ¼ of the world’s population enlisting its wisdom
