You will learn exactly how to position your body so that you can feel and learn yoga at a gentle pace, with patient and skilled instructors specially selected to work with brand new beginners, people with injuries and joint issues or those who just feel inflexible, uncertain, intimidated, or want healing and more gentle approach. In this class, we will add to your Bare Bones Basics poses and introduce Sun Salutations, deeper hip and shoulder openers and and a re-introduction to your long forgotten core. This is a great class for someone who is new to yoga or has practiced for a short time. Back to top.

The first half of class offers gentle flowing asana to release tension and relax your mind. The second half focuses on surrendering into deeply soothing poses and breathing techniques. Learn to calm the mind, quiet the senses, and increase concentration during this 30 minute guided meditation class. No experience necessary, and students of all spiritual backgrounds are welcome. Class exercises will include instruction in meditation, calming pranayama (breathing exercises), and methods for developing concentration. Donations are greatly appreciated but not required. Often referred to as “a quiet practice,” poses are done lying or sitting down, close to the floor, and held for longer periods of time to target the connective tissue of the body. Students practice at their own pace and can arrive and leave within the allotted time for the class. New students will be guided individually by Greg starting with a small amount of practice, and building up over time as the body becomes stronger and more flexible.
