I did it without restrictions, pain and hours in the gym or on the mat. The truth is anyone can.

Loving You Yoga is for anyone who is ready for a thoughtful practice that focuses on inner listening and connection.

What is Loving You Yoga?

Think Functional Movement Meets Yoga.

This is a subscription-based, slow and thoughtful complete practice that is designed to meet you where you are and teaches you how to connect body and mind. Using simple functional movements, resistance training and thoughtful breathing practices you will find your way to a strong, healthy body that does not see aging as a road to being less active, but instead, more mentally and physically attuned and vibrant. 

Often when we think of exercise we think of will and coercion. I have found that there is a way to move deeply and mindfully while keeping the body challenged. In a relaxed state you can tolerate more resistance (which equals greater stimulation to the muscles and cells and improved strength) and move with the body instead of  against it establishing an intuitive understanding of your own body in each practice.

What can you expect ?

There is a way to tap into the body's resources and generate greater health and longevity. By increasing muscle, flexibility and mindfulness you can counteract what we have been told is the inevitability of aging and instead get stronger and healthier as we age. 

We will work with weights and resistance bands and the deeper wisdom of yoga to activate key hormones, neurotransmitters, and other chemicals in the body to create communication and ultimately health across the systems of the body.   

By developing this type of relationship to your strength and flexibility you can alleviate back and joint pain, improve cholesterol, reduce blood pressure and inflammation, and lower the risk of cardiovascular disease. 

What will you do?

You will move slowly and deeply using weights and resistance bands that match your present ability and discover that your strength will increase in each session. After a group of muscles have been strengthened in a safe and effective way they will then be stretched to create balance and to release the cellular activity that will communicate throughout the endocrine system. 

By experiencing each movement in the present moment the entire practice will be a meditation taking you deeper into the aliveness of your body and the beauty of life.

Things I have found don’t work

  • Pushing too hard to achieve a goal

  • Not applying myself and thinking that only a gentle practice is enough
